After all these years! I have just followed your link Stanley found the Amazon page and then found that RT can be had here in Germany via the German Amazon. Decision time to buy - in the nanoseconds!

Many thanks Chris - and for your wonderful emails. Do hope you enjoy Cuckoo. Very best wishes...Stanley

Hi Stanley Looking forward to reading you new book. The older ones look fun to I am a bit young to remember them. Any idea where I can get some of them from. Thanks Duncan

A production still from The Share Out turned up on ebay - unfortunately it was on a Buy It Now auction and had gone by the time I found it - but they had a reasonable quality scan of it so this is now up on the Films Page and the Pictures Page Signed copies of the new Tobin book going like hot cakes on ebay!

Hi Anyone have a very good copy of Here Comes Tobin that they would be willing to sell or trade with me? That's the only book I need to complete my collection. Thanks David

Stanley Morgan Friday, 29 April 2005 23:08
Sorry David haven't even got a copy myself to send you. Why not try Amazon.co.uk or eBay? Hope you enjoyed Tobin Goes Cuckoo. Nice to hear from you. Stan.

smile Dear Mr Morgan In my teens I had every one of your books but after a short spell in hospital found that my victorian parents had thrown them all away (something about the burning of books leads to the burning of people springs to mind) deeming them "pornographic". Now in my 30th year I wanted to replace my collection and happened upon your website. Hallelujah isbn numbers for most books my wallet came out like a flash. I really just wanted to thank you for creating the legendary Russ Tobin a rather decent chap whose exploits I enjoyed enormously during my formative years and hope to enjoy again on the replacement of my collection. Many thanks Simon Taylor

Stanley Morgan Saturday, 16 April 2005 22:31
Dear Simon...Thank you very much for writing. It's wonderful to learn of a reader returning to the Tobin fold! Amazon.co.uk do quite a trade in the backlist as well as selling Russ's latest adventure 'TOBIN GOES CUCKOO' Great to hear from you. Let me know if you succeed in replenishing your collection. Very best wishes...Stanley

Hi Stanley Thanks for dedicating and signing my copy of "Tobin Goes Cuckoo". It took me a couple of days to read due largely to work commitments and I really enjoyed it. It took me right back in time to my teens when I bought the rest of your "comedy" books (new if possible - 2nd hand bookshops and jumble sales turned up the rest)and read them many many times over! I always fancied becoming a holiday rep/courier but never got round to it. Or a croupier handyman safari guide either for that matter! Such is life eh? I wonder how many other guys reading this can identify with my reminiscing? Best Wishes and I hope the next book will appear quicker than the last!

Stanley Morgan Thursday, 14 April 2005 00:04
Hi Steve So pleased you enjoyed CUCKOO. If there are other guys out there who can identify with your reminiscing I'd really like to hear from them about their 'Tobin history'. And I'll make sure the next Tobin adventure is out a lot quicker than the last! Keep in touch. Very best wishes...Stanley

smile While I was working in Mallorca an older lady older than my mum who is 45 passed me a bag of book the majority were shite an alien invasion and the usual mills and boons book but in the shite i came across the sewing machine man with the dodgy 70's cover i decided not to let the guy on the cover in his 40's who was apparently the 22 year old tobin affect me as i myself am only 23 and would be worrie if any guys i met resembled that. Tobins adventure made me laugh out loud and also my mum and dad and now my brother who ironically is a door to door sales man!!! Now i want more but i want to read the books in order any advice on where to buy the book cheap as im a poor young girl who wants to read them in order would be most welcome. smile

Stanley Morgan Wednesday, 13 April 2005 23:58
Dear Sarah...Thank you so much for writing. You have a delightful turn of phrase! Most of the Tobin books are available on Amazon.co.uk and also occasionally on eBay. If any readers can help Sarah out with information I'd be very grateful. But Sarah it's not absolutely necessary to read the books in order. Each one is a separate adventure though often with narrative links to others. My thanks again and best wishes to your Mum Dad and brother. Stanley.

I've just received my signed copy of Cuckoo and can't wait to start reading. However I am going to wait until I have finished Tobin Among the Stars as I continually read from Sewing Machine Man through the whole series again and again and again. etc. Thanks Stan.

Stanley Morgan Wednesday, 6 April 2005 17:53
And thank you Tony. I sincerely hope you enjoy CUCKOO as much as you obviously enjoy all the others. Boy what a testimonial! Appreciation and best wishes from me and Russ.

I first started to read the tobin books way back in the early 70s and so much wanted to be like RT. that I wrote to you and asked your advise on becoming a courier.. you were kind enough to write back and give me some advice but unfortunatley I never did take your up your suggestions and recommendations...still its great to see he is back but Im sad to say I will not be trying to follow in his footsteps

Stanley Morgan Sunday, 3 April 2005 15:07
Hi Andrew! I remember your letter very well and it's so good to hear from you again. Lucky escape huh? Russ has lead so many clean-cut young fellas astray. I'm glad I escaped. Very best wishes...Stan

Hi just wanted to note my appreciation of the Russ tobin books. I discovered them in the home of my neighbour who I baby-sat for in the late 70's. I read them all and got hours of enjoyment from them. I soooo wanted to be Russ Tobin (Buzz would have done as second best!) I now own a secondhand bookshop and am pleased to report that they still sell pretty well!! Steve

Stanley Morgan Tuesday, 29 March 2005 22:38
Thank you for writing Steve. As you have logged onto this website you obviously know that TOBIN IS BACK! 'TOBIN GOES CUCKOO'has just been published by www.twentyfirstcenturypublishers.com. Log on to their site for a free read of the first three chapters. Best wishes...Stanley

The screen grabs of Stan in Konga are now up in the FILMS section. Not an official DVD release (looks like it was mastered from a VHS copy) so the quality isn't brilliant...but that just about sums Konga up!! Got a copy of "The L-Shaped Room" on DVD now also so expect some more pics up soon.

Man... they don't make movie posters like they used to do they? That's awesome - maybe I'll put some effort in and try and track one down - if such a thing exists!
