I was re-reading my classic Russ Tobin novels for the squillionth time and it struck me that next year will be the 50th anniversary of the first novel in the series, The Sewing Machine Man. If it took you, say a year, to write it, then it is likely that 2017 could see the true 50th birthday of his creation.
This is an excellent "excuse" for two worthwhile projects: a box set of all the novels and a feature film.
Mr Morgan, you are a genius and my hand-signed copy of "Cuckoo" remains a prized possession. Thank you for half a century of laughs.
