Hi Stanley! I cannot believe that you have a website! I have been jumping for joy all day and I must say it is about time! I thought for a long time that I was only one who 'got' the Tobin books. I stole a copy of Come Again Courier from my mother when I was about 15 and boy... did I learn a lot from Russ! Forget the bikesheds this was the real education I needed! I have been slowly collecting the Tobin books when and where I can since then. I'm 33 now and I have to say my life has had more than a few similarities to Russ Tobins mostly in terms of adventure though! My humour and outlook are both identical to his and maybe as of direct result of reading these excellent books. It's been a great ride Stanley every pun intended I'm so happy that a new book is out! I've only got 2 more books to find then I'll have them all. Good Luck Stanley! May your sun never set and thanks again!

Thank you so much for your kind words Steve. I'm delighted that you found Russ so influential. By the way did your Mum enjoy his adventures? Very best wishes...Stanley

Way back in 1971 I first caught sight of the Russ Tobin books when I was stationed in Germany with the Armed Forces. Tobin's chronicles kept me enthralled for many a day and I wish I knew where I could get the books now (off-line) as I was and still am eager to follow his journey from being a Salesman to being a Courier (Travel type). As one or two of the other adressees in your Guest book have said...I also learnt the fine art of intimacy from his exploits and for that I will always be indebted. Thank you so much Stan.

Thank you so much writing Stephen. Great to hear from Russ's pals. Off-line the books show up in charity and secondhand shops but on-line there are quite a number for sale on Amazon.co.uk and eBay. I will email you direct with more information. Very best wishes...Stan

I am indebted to you for the adventure my life has been. I was first introduced to your Tobin novels 15 years ago. I was a naive young man blind to the fine art of Swordsmanship. Your novels provided part of my apprenticeship and the impetus to investigate the art further. Tobin inpired me to travel and my adventures have taken me to many exotic locations where I have had the pleasure to pleasure even more exotic women. I am beginning to chronicle these adventures in a new blog - with luck the blog will become as popular as Tobin. Thanks for the inspiration and direction.

And thank you for your most uplifting message. It delights me to learn that Russ has been so inspirational for you. I will email you to learn your name and more about your blog. Very best wishes...Stanley

Hi Stanley I don't know if you'd remember me. I would have been very young at the time or in fact if we met at all. I am Capt Sam Melling/'s eldest son you mentioned him in your book the fly boys; and after reading it I can definately see you got the general vibe right for his airline in those days. A very funny read indeed. My father has since released his joystick and popped his cloggs but had a very good innings indeed I think and could not complain. Please drop me a line if I ring any bells. Kind regards David.
Stanley Morgan Saturday, 24 September 2005 00:51
Dear David...What a wonderful suprise to hear from you. Most sorry to hear about your Dad who was so helpful in the writing of The Fly Boys. I'll send you a personal email a.s.a.p. Very best wishes...Stanley

Hi Stan Hope all is well. Stan was there ever a time you thought Russ T could be turned into a film ?. Personally I would be more than happy to see any of the series put on film. I think you should give Guy Richie a call and see if he has a softer side ! Question of curiosity; Did you ever live in L.A. ? I went there twice and didnt want to come home. The first time my friend and I met Lewis Collins ( The Proffesionals ) at Gatwick and later went drinking with him on Redondo Beach the second time I met 'Arnie' outside my motel on Main street Santa Monica. Both great people and a pleasure to meet. Unfortunately that was as close as I got to Hollywood and stardom. Ah one day ! Anyway must go Harold is calling actually my cats called Pepsi but I bet they would get on well. Email anytime. Till next time Tarra
Stanley Morgan Saturday, 24 September 2005 22:14
Hi Russ good to hear from you. Yes several people in the 70s wanted to film The Sewing Machine Man but the finance was never forthcoming. Difficult time for British film-making then. I too would love to see it made now. No I never did live in L.A. though I've visited there often. Best wishes and a coke..er stroke for Pepsi. Stan.

Been a couple of months since the page was updated and there are things to report! In the Interviews section you can read a recent article about how Stan was sacked from his day job after his employers read the new book!! Also there is a new cover scan of a slightly different edition of The Sewing Machine Man and some promotional bookmarks from the 70's that Stan forwarded on to me!

Hi Stan Sorry it's been a while had to get another computer. Anyway me mam has bought me Cuckoo for my birthday which was in June but I'm still re reading the series before I get onto the new one. I'm currently on Here Comes Tobin and have been late twice this week cutting customers grass because I could'nt put the dam book down ! The thought of Russ in the graveyard and the ghost on a wire along with his horse riding exploits the following day had tears streaming down my cheeks. As always Patrick was his cowerdly self. Well should'nt be long before I get onto Cuckoo which I'm itching to read. Stan mum is also off line at the moment but she passes on her regards. Talk to you soon. Tara Russ
Stanley Morgan Friday, 5 August 2005 17:43
Russ...Thank you so much for this. Great to hear from you. Do hope that Cuckoo produces tears (of laughter of course) too. Happy grass cutting and Best wishes to you and your Mam. Stan.

Stan Off the Tobin track i have just finished the second Randy Comfort book i reckon he is almost on a par with Russ. Almost but not quite. Are there any plans to resurrect him also now that the Tobin resurrection has been a success? Would be a shame not to with Veronica Dove just waiting to properly enter the fray! PS This book is by far the hardest to track down (the second being Tobin in Tahiti) and has cost me the princely sum of £12.50 off amazon so i think a resurrection could do well might email Frank again until he gets that buggered off he commissions more.
Stanley Morgan Sunday, 10 July 2005 21:39
Thank you Mark good to hear from you. No plans to resurrect Randy but welcome the proposal. Your support is very much appreciated. All the best...Stan

Hello Stanley I have received my signed and dedicated copy of 'cuckoo' and I am very seriously highly chuffed!! My Tobin books take pride of place on the top shelf of my bookcase and on the wall above are the two emails that I received from you. Almost two decades ago I commenced a little project that remains unfinished but hope springs eternal ... I visited Liverpool London Majorca Ireland Bahamas and Miami - I had ambitions of following in the footsteps of my hero Russ Tobin. I'm ashamed to say that South Africa the western states of America and Australasia remain strangers to me. So does New York and Canada but I'll be putting that right in May next year. Stanley a million thanks for the laughs and the hours of great reading. I'll be praying for many more to follow. Martin
Stanley Morgan Thursday, 7 July 2005 23:04
Martin...what can I say? 'Thank you' seems so inadequate. Tell you what - I'll have a word with Russ and see if we can do something about answering your prayer. In the meantime...thank you. Stanley

There are currently loads of book on ebay one bloke has nine up together which is currently only at about £9. Dear Mr Morgan In my teens I had every one of your books but after a short spell in hospital found that my victorian parents had thrown them all away (something about the burning of books leads to the burning of people springs to mind) deeming them "pornographic". Now in my 30th year I wanted to replace my collection and happened upon your website. Hallelujah isbn numbers for most books my wallet came out like a flash. I really just wanted to thank you for creating the legendary Russ Tobin a rather decent chap whose exploits I enjoyed enormously during my formative years and hope to enjoy again on the replacement of my collection. Many thanks Simon Taylor
Stanley Morgan Saturday, 16 April 2005 22:31
Dear Simon...Thank you very much for writing. It's wonderful to learn of a reader returning to the Tobin fold! Amazon.co.uk do quite a trade in the backlist as well as selling Russ's latest adventure 'TOBIN GOES CUCKOO' Great to hear from you. Let me know if you succeed in replenishing your collection. Very best wishes...Stanley
